MFs dominate top gainers list

Listed mutual funds (MFs) have occupied the chart of top 10 gainers on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) following investors' increased participation in transactions. The unit prices of 10 MFs rose ranging from 9.33 per cent to 10 per cent on Sunday. On the day, the sector also had the highest contribution in market turnover of the premier bourse. The sector posted a turnover of above Tk 594.9 million and grabbed 14.30 per cent of the turnover featured by the DSE. The MFs which captured the chart of top 10 gainers are CAPM BDBL MF 01, SEML FDLSL Growth Fund, Asian Tiger Sandhani Life Growth Fund, SEML IBBL Shariah Fund, Prime Finance First MF, AB Bank 1st MF, IFIC Bank 1st MF, Vanguard AML BD Finance MF One, First Janata Bank MF and Vanguard AML Rupali Bank Balanced Fund. — FE Report

Aziz Pipes pays SEBL, NBL loans

Aziz Pipes Limited has adjusted the overdue loans with Southeast Bank Limited and National Bank Limited recently. Upon law suits in court against Aziz Pipes Limited, the company came into a mutual agreement with Southeast Bank for settlement of the defaulted loan worth Taka 132 million in 135 installments and National Bank Limited Taka 88. 2 million without any interest. Aziz Pipes Limited paid its final installments of the loans to SEBL on 27 March and NBL on 23 March, 2019.
