PRAN, a leading food processor in the country, bagged export orders worth around $2 million at ISM Fair of Germany, one of largest trade fairs for 'sweets and snacks' in the world.
Importers from 50 countries visited PRAN's stall at the four-day fair which began on January 27.
This year, about 1700 exhibitors from different countries across the world participated in the fair held at Cologne in Germany.
Md Mizanur Rahman, Chief Operating Officer at PRAN Export Limited said, this year the group displayed its over 200 products, including 10 new products.
He also said that PRAN Group has brought huge change in 'sweets and snacks' category in Bangladesh. The group manufactures sweets and snacks items maintaining global standard. As a result the demand of the products in global market has created apart from the local market. Moreover, it is possible to earn foreign currency. PRAN received tremendous response from the buyers at the fair.
Kamruzzaman Kamal, Marketing Director of PRAN-RFL Group said, the main purpose of participating in the exhibition is to expand export market. There creates a scope to spread PRAN products across the world as ISM Fair is one of the largest fairs in sweets and snacks category in the world and traders and buyers from every corner of the globe participate in the fair.
