Share prices of three cos rise 'abnormally' sans PSI

The share prices of three listed companies rose 'abnormally' despite having no undisclosed price sensitive information (PSI) of the companies.

The companies are Aziz Pipes, Aramit and Renwick Jajneswar & Co (Bd).

The share price of Aziz Pipes rose 'abnormally' in nine sessions from May 28 to June 10 when the share price rose 36 per cent to close at Tk 174.30 each as on Sunday.

Following the abnormal price hike, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) made a query on the 'abnormal' price hike of the share on Sunday.

In response, the company has informed that there is no PSI for recent 'unusual' price hike of the share.

The company's share price, however, declined 4.59 per cent or Tk 8.0 to close at Tk 168.20 on Monday.

The share price of Aramit rose abnormally mostly in last six sessions on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).

The company's share trading closed at Tk 403.40 each on Monday with a rise of 7.45 per cent or Tk 28.

From June 3 to June 11, the company's share price rose 21.39 per cent or Tk 71.10 to close at Tk 403.40 as on Monday.

Aramit, a 'Z' category company, reported EPS of Tk. 3.38 for January-March 2018 as against Tk. 3.99 for January-March 2017.

The NAV per share was Tk. 146.77 as on March 31, 2018 and Tk. 155.07 as on June 30, 2017.

Following a DSE query, the company informed that there was no undisclosed PSI for recent unusual price hike.

Renwick Jajneswar & Co (Bd) displayed an abnormal price hike in nine sessions from May 28 to June 10. During the period, the company's share price rose 25 per cent or Tk 142.10 to close at Tk 575.40 each as on Sunday.

Following a DSE query dated June 10, 2018, the company informed that there was no undisclosed PSI for recent unusual price hike of the share.

The company's share price, however, declined marginally on Monday.

On the day, the company's share trading closed at Tk 692.80 each with a marginal loss of Tk 5.06 per cent or Tk 36.3.
