BBDN is supported by Canada and funded by ILO's (International Labour Organisation) Bangladesh Skills for Employment and Productivity (B-SEP) project that works in partnerships with the government of Bangladesh.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the jobs fair Md Abul Kalam Azad, principal coordinator (SDG) of Prime Minister's Office said, "Since the government is working to achieve the SDG in its all capacity, no one should be left behind to achieve the goal. I think this kind of jobs fair is highly motivating for the persons with disabilities."

Besides, BBDN and Bangladesh Employers Federation (BEF) organised an award-giving ceremony for the selected nine employers and two chambers of commerce for promoting disability inclusion in their industries and thus encouraging inclusiveness and change in mindset.

The companies awarded at the ceremony are Square Group, Akhter Group, Viyellatex, ShinShin Group, Urmi Group, DBL group, Picard Bangladesh, Vintage Denim, Shwapno and the Chittagong and Sylhet Chamber of Commerce, the statement added.

ILO Bangladesh country director Tuomo Poutiainen said, "I wish success of the award ceremony and expect positive outcome in terms of increase in participation of the persons with disabilities in skills and employment in Bangladesh promoting a very inclusive and diversified workplace."
