BTA holds 58th AGM

Chairman of Bangladesh Tea Association (BTA) Ardashir Kabir presiding over the association’s 58th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at its office in Dhaka on Monday

The 58th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Bangladeshiyo Cha Sangsad (BCS) - Bangladesh Tea Association (BTA) was held at its office in Dhaka on Monday, said a statement.

The AGM was chaired by Ardashir Kabir, chairman of BTA.

Senior Vice-Chairman, Mr. M. Shah Alam, Vice-Chairman, Mr. Riazur Rahman, FCA, Committee Members: Mr. Mohd. Safwan Choudhury, Mr. Kamran T. Rahman, Mr. M. A. Awal, Mr. M. Wahidul Haque, Mr. M. Salman Ispahani, Mr. M. Samad Chowdhury, Mr. Tahsin A. Choudhury, and the representatives of different member - tea companies / tea estates also attended.

Mr. Ardashir Kabir presented at the AGM the Association's report on the major activities of the Committee for the year 2017-2018. The Association's Accounts for the period of 2017-2018 were approved. In the meeting Auditors of the Association were appointed and their remuneration was fixed for auditing accounts for the year 2018-2019.

Mr. Ardashir Kabir expressed thanks and gratitude to different Ministries/Divisions/Departments of the Government of Bangladesh, Divisional and District Administration, Law enforcing agencies of Chattagram and Sylhet Divisions for their continued support, help and co-operation extended to the Association for development of the tea industry. He specially thanked the Members of the Executive Committee and Members of the Association for their help, co-operation and advice in discharging responsibilities of the Chairman in the past year.
