CIS-BCCI President Md Habib Ullah Dawn and other team members posing for photo before their departure from Dhaka A five-member business delegation of Commonwealth of Independent States-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CIS-BCCI) led by its President Md Habib Ullah Dawn has left Dhaka recently for Russia to attend SPIEF'18 to be held at St. Petersburg from May 24-26, says a press release.
Other Members of the delegation are Vice President Mohammad Ali Deen, Director Mahbub Islam Runu, general members Sheikh Fayez Alam and Abdul Latif Sarker.
The team will also visit St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce with which it has an MoU and pay visit to Moscow where they will meet Moscow Chamber including a visit to Bangladesh embassy in Moscow.
SPIEF is the biggest international economic event being held at St. Petersburg under the auspices of the Russian President Vladimir Putin. More than 14,000 representatives from about 150 countries are taking part in the event that also includes French President Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister of Japan Mr. Shinzo Abe, and , Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde.
CIS-BCCI is regularly participating in SPIEF since 2015 in a bid to establish closer economic relationship with Russia and other CIS countries considering it as a third front of Bangladesh export destination.
