Chattogram City Corporation Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin handing over a crest to Kamrun Nahar as the highest taxpayer of Cox's Bazar district at the GEC Convention Hall in the port city on Monday COX'S BAZAR, Nov 13: Prominent woman business personality, Chairman of OKM Group and proprietor of OKM Trading Corporation Kamrun Nahar was awarded as the highest taxpayer again in Cox's Bazar district.
With this she achieved the feat for the third time. National Board of Revenue (NBR) arranged a ceremony in GEC Convention Hall of Chattogram city on Monday on the occasion.
Chattogram City Corporation Mayor AJM Nasir Uddin handed over the award certificate to business woman Kamrun Nahar as chief guest at the ceremony.
Tax Commissioner of Chattogram Mohammad Motaher Hossain presided over the certificate distribution ceremony.
Among others, NBR member Rowshan Ara Akter, Commissioner of Customs and Excise Syed Golam Kibria, President of Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mahbubul Alam, President of Chattogram Women Chamber of Commerce and industry Monwara Hakim Ali also spoke at the function.
Kamrun Nahar was awarded as the highest taxpayer by the NBR in 2011 and 2016 also in Cox's Bazar district. Her husband and Managing Director of OKM Group Osiur Rahman was awarded three times as the highest taxpayer of Cox's Bazar district.
Sister concerns of the OKM Group are OKM Builders Ltd, OKM Midway Inn Restaurant, OKM Royal Beach Resort Ltd, OKM Trading Corporation and OKM Food Products Ltd.
