Walton starts commercial sales of its elevators

Bangladeshi multinational electronic brand Walton is now manufacturing passengers and cargo elevators in its own factory following European technology and standards, says a press statement.

After meeting its internal demands, the local brand started the commercial sales of its elevators.

Syed Mustafizur Rahman, who was the chairman of Chemistry Department of Jagannath University, is the first customer of 'Made in Bangladesh' labelled Walton made passenger lifts.

On Friday (January 11) last, film actor Amin Khan, head of brand development department of Walton Group, officially handed over an elevator of 300 kg capacity to Mr Rahman at his residence at Uttara in Dhaka.

Walton Group's Operative Director Md Firoj Alam, Shahajada Selim and Shakhawat Hossen, Deputy Operative Director Sohel Rana, Chief Executive Director of Walton Elevator Mithun Kumar Nondi, elder son of Rahman named Syed Saeed Monir, among others, were present on the occasion.

Dwelling on the purchase of Walton elevator, buyer Mr Rahman said, "Being a Bangladeshi brand, Walton secured the top position in the country's electronics sector. I have been using Walton brand fridge for couple of years and getting good service. Thus, I have a good faith in the quality of Walton products."

Purchase of the local brand lift will help me get the post-sales services swiftly, he expressed it as another reason for the purchase of Walton fridge, he noted.

Walton Group's Deputy Operative Director Sohel Rana said that a state-of-the art elevator manufacturing unit was established with huge investment at Walton factory in Chadra, Gazipur.

A group of highly meritorious, skilled and experienced personnel has been engaged in the process of design, production and installation of Walton lifts, he added.

Now, Walton is manufacturing European standard passenger lifts of different capacities, ranging from 300 kg to 2500 kg, and cargo lifts of 800 kg to 4500 kg capacities.
