Chief Operating Officer, GMTE of Ispahani receiving the 'Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) awards 2019' from Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi in the city on Sunday
Ispahani's Zareen Tea Plantation received the 'Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) awards 2019' on the occasion of National Day on Occupational Safety and Health on Sunday.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi gave away the prestigious awards to Chief Operating Officer, GMTE, of Ispahani Golam Mustafa at a ceremony at the Krishibid Institute near Khamar Bari in the city, said a press release of Ispahani Tea Limited.
The OSH awards are given to industrial sector organisations through verified criteria on occupational health and safety issues, the release said.
In garment sector, seven members of the BGMEA and five members of BKMEA received the awards this year.
In pharmaceutical industry, three companies received the awards while three other companies got the awards in leather industry. Three industries received the awards in jute sector while three organisations were awarded in tea sector.
