ABCCI holds AGM

The annual general meeting (AGM) 2018 of Australia Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ABCCI) was held at a city hotel on Saturday.

The meeting was presided over by ABCCI President Obaidur Rahman while other ABCCI board and general members were present, said a statement.

ABCCI Secretary General Shakil Ahmed Khan presented the annual report of the trade body while Organising Secretary Jahedul Islam discussed different other issues.

The meeting also discussed various aspects of bilateral trade between Bangladesh and Australia, trade facilitation and exploring market for new products in Australia.

The board of directors of the chamber also took a number of new initiatives in addition to the regular activities.

The principal activities of the chamber are to facilitate its members and, promoting business and trade linkage between the two countries.
