Auto exhibitions begin in city on March 22

An array of exhibitions of motor, bike and auto parts will be held at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital on March 22-24.

The Conference and Exhibition Management Services Ltd (CEMS)-Global has organised the three-day exhibitions -- '13th Dhaka Motor Show', '4th Dhaka bike Show', '3rd Dhaka Auto parts Show' and '2nd Dhaka Commercial Automotive Show'.

This is the biggest international exhibition of automotive, commercial vehicle, bike and auto parts in Bangladesh, organisers said at a press conference at the National Press Club on Wednesday.

The event will be a one-stop single platform to showcase the latest innovations and emerging technology. Besides, it will promote the Bangladeshi and global automobile and auto-component industry, they said.

Renowned car and motorcycle distributors and dealers along with lubricant, battery and CNG conversion companies and automotive component manufacturers and importers will join the exhibitions.

Participants from 16 countries, including Japan, France, Korea, China, USA, Italy, Vietnam, UAE, India and Bangladesh, will showcase their products in over 620 stalls at the venue.

Based in New York, the CEMS-Global has offices in India, China, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Brazil. It has organised the exhibitions as part of its celebrations marking 25 years of its inception.

The show will remain open for visitors from 10:30am to 8:30pm daily up to March 24.

Meherun N Islam, Group President and Managing Director, CEMS-Global USA and Asia Pacific, addressed the press conference. SS Sarwar, Group CEO of CEMS-Global USA and Asia Pacific, and Tanveer Qamrul Islam, Executive Director, CEMS-Bangladesh, were also present.
