Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has teamed up with the Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) to boost trade and cooperation between the textile and clothing industries of the two countries.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between the two organisations in this regard at an event in New Delhi on November 27, according to a statement issued by BGMEA in Dhaka.
BGMEA President Md Siddiqur Rahman and CITI chairman Sanjay K Jain signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides.
The two trade bodies would render support towards expansion of trade, attracting investment and transfer technology under to the MoU.
They will work together to organise seminars, bi-lateral discussions and all other supports in boosting trade, business and investment, the statement added.
