BHRMSPA formally starts its journey

Speakers at a programme have said that the Bangladesh HRM Service Providers Association (BHRMSPA) will play a major role in bringing the best-in-class HRM services in the country.

They also urged the government to strengthen cooperation for nurturing and developing the human resources.

They made the call at a ceremony, organised to mark the unveiling of a logo and inauguration of the BHRMSPA website at Spectra Convention Centre in the capital recently, says a statement.

The programme also marked starting of journey by the BHRMSPA in the country with the aim to work as a national forum for discussion and exchange of views how different issues, including business-related ones, are affecting the human resources (HRM) service providers.

Md Mujibul Haque, State Minister for Labour and Employment, formally unveiled the logo and inaugurated the website with ABM Khurshed Alam, CEO and Additional Secretary of National Skill Development Council (NSDC) Secretariat, and Nihad Kabir, President of Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dhaka (MCCI) attending the programme as the special guests.

In his speech, State Minister Mujibul Haque said that BHRMSPA is a very timely initiative of the HRM Services providers to strengthen human capital as well as enhance organisational capabilities to meet tomorrow's challenge.

Echoing him, ABM Khurshed Alam and Nihad Kabir said: Such initiative will play a major role in bringing the best-in-class HRM practices in Bangladesh."

NEA Shibly, President of the organisation, delivered the welcome speech. He shared his views on how HRM service providers can contribute to the development of national economy. He also stressed the need for government's strong support to nurture and develop HRM 'industry'.
