China Jan-Feb non-financial ODI up 25.2pc

BEIJING, Mar 14 (Reuters): China's non-financial outbound direct investment rose 25.2 per cent year-on-year to $16.82 billion in the first two months of 2018, the Commerce Ministry said on Wednesday.

China's outbound investment fell 29.7 per cent in 2017 as regulators clamped down on fund outflows, suspecting some overseas deals were highly speculative and were being used to circumvent capital controls.

In January, ODI was up 39.7 per cent more than in the same month in the previous year.
