Deal on DPDC's pre-paid meter vending service

The telecom operator Grameenphone signed an agreement and launched pre-paid meter vending with the Dhaka Power Distribution Company Limited (DPDC) on Saturday in the DPDC conference room at Bidyut Bhaban in the city, reports UNB.

The agreement was signed by Rasheda Sultana, Head of Financial Services, Grameenphone, and Jayanta Kumar Sikder, Joint Secretary and Company Secretary, DPDC. Dr. Ahmad Kaikaus, Secretary, Power Division, and Engineer Bikash Dewan, Managing Director, DPDC, were present as chief guests. Mahmud Hossain, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Grameenphone, was the special guest at the deal signing ceremony. This deal will ensure pre-paid meter vending service round the clock. In addition, GP's selected retail outlets will serve as DPDC distribution points for providing vending solutions to the customers.

Grameenphone will make sure that customers are aware of service charges and GP POS/agent presence in different locations for smooth service delivery considering maximum customer convenience.

DPDC customers will be able to visit Grameenphone's authorised agent points with pre-paid meter smart cards and recharge their smart cards.
