Employment generation programme goes on in Muktagacha

MYMENSINGH Jan 20 (BSS): A 40-day employment generation programme at a cost of over Tk 33.6 million (over three crore 36 lakh take) taken by the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief continues in Muktagacha upazila of the district.

A total of 84 projects under the programme are being implemented as a good number of day labourers are getting Tk 200 per day during the programme. The labourers said that they are happy to receive the amount every day during the event. Upazila Project Implementation Officer (PIO) Sherajul Islam siddiquee told the national news agency that the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief had sanctioned more than Tk 33.6 million for 84 projects in 10 unions of the upazila.

The projects include renovation and repairing of rural roads and development of different educational institutions and religious establishments.
