FBCCI hails AL-led alliance for polls win

The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) has greeted the Awami League-led Mohajote (Grand Alliance) for achieving the absolute majority in the just-held national election.

In a congratulatory statement on Monday, the country's apex business body also expressed its satisfaction over holding the 11th parliamentary polls in inclusive, free, fair and peaceful manner.

The FBCCI leaders on behalf of the business community of the country, express their deep satisfaction over the inclusive, free, fair and peaceful election, the statement read.

"FBCCI firmly believe that this huge public-support reflects the great confidence of the countrymen to the ongoing democratic process and the mega development projects of the running government. (The) FBCCI is very optimistic that, formation of Mohajote government, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, for the consecutive third time will expedite and strengthen the development activities of the country. FBCCI, on behalf of the business community also extends their fullest support and cooperation to the determination of the present government to build Bangladesh a developed nation," it added.
