FBCCI, NDC hold discussion on economy

The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and the National Defence College (NDC) held a discussion on the economic and trade issues in the city on Sunday.

Issues relating to national economy, local and international trade, country's investment situation and the banking sector came up for discussion.

Acting president of FBCCI Sheikh Fazle Fahim moderated the discussion. He briefed the NDC delegation on the country's economy.

Air Commodore M Mortuza Kamal led the NDC delegation. Representatives from India, Malaysia, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Oman, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Nigeria, Tanzania, Niger and Pakistan took part in the discussion.

Acting president of FBCCI Sheikh Fazle Fahim also talked about the role of FBCCI as the apex trade body of the country and the public-private joint initiative in the development process of the country.

Directors of FBCCI Salahuddin Alamgir and AKM Aftabul Islam and the representatives of member bodies were present at the event.
