Union Bank steps into seventh year
The Union Bank Limited stepped into its seventh year on Monday. On the occasion, a celebration programme was held at its head office at Gulshan-1, Dhaka. Omar Farooque, Managing Director of the Union Bank, inaugurated the programme by cutting a cake. Among others, Advisor of the bank SM Aminur Rahman, Additional Managing Director ABM Mokammel Hoque Chowdhury, Deputy Managing Directors Hasan Iqbal and Md Nazrul Islam and all other executives and officers of the Head Office were present at the ceremony. A doa mahfil was also held on the occasion.

MDB opens agent
banking centre
in Laxmipur
Midland Bank Limited (MDB) formally inaugurated an agent banking centre at Tawariganj Bazar under Tawariganj Union in Laxmipur recently to take modern banking services to the unbanked masses. Md Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director and CEO of the bank, formally inaugurated the centre as the chief guest along with Omar Hossain Bulu, Chairman, Tawarigonj Union, and Md Masudur Rahman, Proprietor of M/s. MB Automobiles. Earlier, the bank appointed M/s. MB Automobiles, a local business house, as an agent for rendering banking services in the area. Clients, businessmen, local elite and senior officials of the bank were present on the occasion.

FSIBL relocates
its Naria branch
The First Security Islami Bank Limited (FSIBL) has shifted its Naria branch to new premises -- Shawkat Plaza, Chakdha Bazar, Naria, Shariatpur -- with a view to providing Shariah-based modern banking services to a greater extent. Syed Waseque Md Ali, Managing Director of the bank, inaugurated the activities of the relocated branch on Monday.
