A visiting trade delegation from Singapore has expressed their interest to invest in environmental solution, financial services and consumer goods sectors in Bangladesh.
The 11-member delegation of Singapore Business Federation (SBF), led by its executive director Soo Wei-Chieh, during a meeting with the leaders of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) on Sunday expressed the interest.
The FBCCI and SBF jointly organised the 'Singapore-Bangladesh Business Networking' meeting in a city hotel.
The delegation, which is on a three-day visit to Bangladesh, would decide about their investment plan after their visit to various industries here.
FBCCI president Sheikh Fazle Fahim pointed out at the meeting that Bangladesh offers the most liberal and easy business facilities among the South Asian countries.
He also offered corporate member of the FBCCI to the Singaporean companies which are already operating in Bangladesh.
Mr Fahim mentioned that most of the investment that took place in recent years in Bangladesh came from China, Japan, Netherlands and Singapore.
He invited the Singaporean businesses to invest here in a larger scale, availing the opportunity of less production cost and easy access of Bangladeshi products to different markets of the world.
