BIDA chief lauds 'Udayan' scheme of Mercantile Bank

Shaheed Reza, Managing Director & CEO of the bank Kazi Masihur Rahman and senior executives seen with the young entrepreneurs at a get together under the bank's special loan scheme 'UDAYAN' at the bank's training institute in the city on Monday

Mercantile Bank Limited arranged a get together with young entrepreneurs under its special loan scheme 'Udayan' held at bank's Training Institute in the city on Monday, said a statement.

Kazi M. Aminul Islam, Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), was present as the chief guest while Bank's Chairman A.K.M. Shaheed Reza was the special guest. Kazi Masihur Rahman, Managing Director & CEO of Mercantile Bank presided over the programme.

The bank has initiated this product a year back to develop entrepreneurship among the young graduates with talent, innovative power and perseverance. Entrepreneurs shared their story to become successful and the challenges they faced in the journey.

Kazi M. Aminul Islam, chief guest of the programme, said Mercantile Bank is the pioneer in Bangladesh in seed capital financing. He highly appreciated the Bank for taking such initiative to inspire enthusiastic youngsters with their innovation to develop the country.

Bank's chairman A.K.M. Shaheed Reza said Mercantile Bank believes in social commitment to accelarate the country's development. MBL will always encourage the freshers with its new products to make future leadership for steering country's growing economy.

Bank's Additional Managing Director Mati Ul Hasan, Deputy Managing Directors Md Zakir Hossain and Adil Raihan along with other senior executives of the bank were present on the occasion.
