Trudeau invites Hasina to G7 outreach session

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has invited world leaders, including Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and heads of international organisations to the outreach session of the G7 Summit.

The Group of Seven (G7) Summit will be held on June 08 and 09, in La Malbaie, Quebec, Canada.

France, Germany, Italy, Japan, UK and the US are the other members of the G7, report agencies.

Trudeau on Friday announced that Canada will welcome the Bangladesh PM and 15 other world leaders and heads of international organisations to the G7 Summit to take part in a special outreach session.

The special outreach session, which will focus on healthy oceans and resilient coastal communities, will be held on June 9.

The world leaders and heads of international organisaions invited to the G7 special outreach session include Argentine President and Chair of the G20 Mauricio Macri, President of Haiti and chair of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Jovenel Moise, Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness, Kenya's President Uhuru Kenyatta, President of Marshall Islands Hilda Heine, Norway's Prime Minister Erna Solberg, President of Rwanda and chair of African Union Paul Kagame, Senegal's President Macky Sall, President of Seychelles Danny Faure, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Managing Director of International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde, Secretary General of Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development Jose Angel Gurria, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres and Chief Executive Officer of the World Bank Kristalina Georgieva.
