Imran Khan's sister pays 25pc property of fine to FBR

Prime Minister Imran Khan's sister, Aleema Khan, has paid 25 per cent of the fine on her foreign properties to the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), reports Gulf Times.

In December last year, the Supreme Court had ordered her to pay Rs29.5mn in taxes and fines on her foreign properties.

According to sources, the prime minister's older sister submitted 25 per cent of the fine - Rs7.3mn - to the FBR.

She also submitted an application to pay the rest of the amount in four installments.

Khan also asked for the right to appeal in her application, and would approach the Supreme Court after FBR's reply in this regard, the sources added.

Earlier, it emerged that the premier's sister owned properties abroad, including in the United States.
