10-day Baishakhi Fair begins in Rangamati

RANGAMATI, Apr 05 (BSS): The 10-day Baisakhi Fair begun on Saturday at Majherbosti of the district marking the 'Boisabi Utsab' (Festival), the biggest traditional event in the hill regions, and Pahela Boishakh, the first day of Boishakh in the Bengali calendar.

Rangamati chamber of commerce & industry president also BNP's district unit general secretary Advocate Mamunur Rashid Mamun inaugurated the fair by releasing colorful balloons at Shah ML High School premises.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, various exciting rides, including a whirligig, have been set up to delight children.
