13 tonnes of jute seeds for Jamalpur, Sherpur farmers

JAMALPUR, Mar 14 (BSS): The Bangladesh Agriculture Development Corporation (BADC) has allotted 13 tonnes of jute seed for Jamalpur and Sherpur districts.

According to Jamalpur Seed Marketing Office, three varieties of jute seed were allotted in the two districts. The seeds are 8 MT local CVL-1variety, 2 MT O-9897 variety and 3 MT BADC-1variety. The office source said price of per kg jute seed is Tk 150.

Deputy director of BADC (Seed Marketing) Md Reazul Islam Tutul said the quality jute seeds will be sold through 340 registered dealers in the two districts.

He said selling of jute seed began and will continue to April 30.
