16 villages come under power network in Naogaon

NAOGAON, Mar 19: Some 1,400 households under 16 villages in Raninagar Upazila of the district have been brought under power connection.

Israfil Alam, local Member of Parliament, inaugurated the electrification programme as the chief guest at a function recently.

The connected villages are - Ekdala, Pakuria, Jatrapur, Vebragari, Panchupur, Kashinagar, Saria, Guata, Ramjibonpur, Jalkoi, Upartalimpur, Dighipara, Ghatagan, Shiala, Kaligram and Dudhkundi.

Deputy General Manager of Palli Bidyut Raninagar Zone Asaduzzaman, acting president of Upzaila unit Awami League Barik Molla, general secretary Mafiz Uddin, among others, attended the inaugural ceremony.

Residents of the area expressed happiness over the implementation of the much awaited electricity connection.
