AI training on journalism starts in Rajshahi

A four-day training programme on the "AI in Journalism" started at a hotel in Rajshahi city on Thursday, according to a press release.

The training is to mark the beginning of an innovative capacity-building initiative in the field of journalism, will end on May 11.

The inaugural session was formally started by Chairman of the Mass Communication and Journalism (MCJ) Department of Rajshahi University Dr. Md. Mozammel Hossain Bokul.

On the beginning day, Associate Professor of MCJ Department of Dhaka University Dr. Md. Saiful Alam Chowdhury and AI specialist Ferdous Bin Ali addressed the programme as trainer.

The training is part of a broader initiative by DW Akademie in association with the South Asia Center for Media in Development (SACMID) and supported by German Cooperation.

A total of 30 fellows are taking part in the programme.
