Bangabandhu Chair to be established at RU

RAJSHAHI UNIVERSITY, Oct 28: The authorities of Rajshahi University (RU) decided to establish Bangabandhu Chair at the Institute of Bangladesh Studies (IBS) of the university.

The decision was taken at the 252nd meeting of the Academic Council of the university, said a press release from the public relations office of the university.

Prof Dr Ananda Kumar Saha, Pro-vice-chancellor of the university, said, "The decision to establish Bangabandhu Chair at the Institute of Bangladesh Studies (IBS) has been finalised at the Academic Council meeting. The chair will be appointed for a period of two years. A high level Selection Board will recommend the chair on basis of special contributions to the fields of literature, education and research."
