Beware of fox !

BOGURA, Sept 28: Villagers under Shajahanpur upazila in the district are in fear of fox bite.

Meanwhile, 24 people have already injured and some ten goats in Betgari area nearby the Dhaka-Rangpur Highway have also been attacked by foxes.

Some 11 people have been bitten on Wednesday and 13 on Thursday. They have been admitted to hospitals immediate after they received injury from fox attack to avoid hydrophobia disease.

Khorshed Alam, councilor of Ward No. 09 of the municipality, said on Wednesday evening, a group of foxes suddenly attacked the villagers.

Residential Medical Officer (RMO) of Mohammad Ali Hospital Shafiq Amin Kajal said they have ensured necessary vaccine and medical treatment to them who received injury from the attack of foxes.

Upazila Nirbahi Ofiicer (UNO) of Shajahanpur Fuara Khatun said, "We are considering the matter seriously. Foxes came to the locality in search of food."

Upazila chairman Channu said, "Foxes have bitten some people in the area. So far, about 24 people have attacked."
