Chandpur gas cylinder blast kills minor girl

CHANDPUR, Feb 06 (UNB): A six-month old baby girl was killed and three other members of a family were injured as a gas cylinder blasted at Paschim Moishadi village in Sadar upazila early Tuesday.

The deceased was identified as Sumaiya Akhter Eva, daughter of Nasir Miraz.

Moniruzzaman Manik Patwary, chairman of Moishadi union parishad, said that a fire broke at the house of Nasir early in the morning following the explosion, leaving Sumaiya dead.

Besides, Nasir, his wife Marzana Begum and their son Nayan, 8, were also received burn injuries.

The fire also burned down the house.
