In the 2026-2027 executive term elections of the Chattogram Samiti-Dhaka, the council led by Dr. Chowdhury Mahmud Hasan and Md. Mozammel Haque Chowdhury secured full-panel victory as they were elected without contest.
Dr. Choudhury Mahmood Hasan and Mozammel Haque Chowdhury have taken over as the newly elected president and general secretary, respectively, according to a press release.
As per the provisions of the Samiti's constitution, an Election Commission was formed, comprising life members of the organization. Former Additional Secretary Md. Nazim Uddin Chowdhury served as the Chief Election Commissioner, while Former Additional Secretary Mohammad Habibul Kabir Chowdhury,
Mohammad Munir Chowdhury, Secretary Dr. Nazneen Kausar Chowdhury, and Deputy
Attorney General Barrister Mohammad Osman Chowdhury served as Election Commissioners. They jointly conducted all activities related to the election.
