Crack on Dhaka-Rajshahi railway tracks fixed after 5 hours

NATORE, Nov 28 (UNB): A crack that developed on Dhaka-Rajshahi railway track at Lalpur upazila in Natore district end has been fixed after five hours of detection.
The railway communication with the northern districts from Dhaka remained undisrupted due to having a dual line.
Railway staff said they spotted the crack in the North Bengal Sugar Mill area, 300 yards off Azimnagar railway station while they were checking the line in the morning.
Earlier, the Ishwardy-bound commuter train crossed the track taking risk around 6:45am.
On information, a team from the Ishwardy Engineering department of Bangladesh Railways went to the spot to renovate the line, said gateman Abdul Malek of Biharipara Rail Gate under Azimnagar rail station.
Station master Zia Uddin said the crack was fixed around 12:30 pm and the rail movement resumed on the line.
He informed that the rail track cracked due to the severity of the cold.
