Cultivation of T-Aman paddy starts

NILPHAMARI, June 27: Cultivation of Transplanted Aman (T-Aman) paddy has started in the district.
Sources said than 80 per cent of land in the area has been prepared.
DAE sources said some 1,06,814 hectares of land will be come under the farming of T-Aman with the production target of 2,91,474 tonnes.
Of the total hybrid variety will be grown on 4,483 hectares of land, Upshi on 1,01,437 hectares and local variety on 894 hectares of land, DAE sources added.
Sources said some 3,663 hectares of land were used as seedbed.
