The district administration of Gopalganj organised the event. A total of 1,000 copies of the two books were distributed among 500 students from different educational institutes in the town.
A number of high government officials, local political leaders, local elites, journalists of the print and electronic media were present on the occasion.
Shahida Sultana, deputy commissioner (DC), Gopalganj presided over the function.
Among others, Abu Yousuf Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, chief executive officer, Zila Parishad, Gopalganj, Kazi Liakat Ali, mayor of Gopalganj Paurashava, Dr Khan Mohammad Golam Mostofa, principal of Sheikh Sayera Khatun Medical College, Gopalganj, and Mahabub Ali Khan, general secretary of the district Awami League (AL), spoken on the occasion.
