Ex-BNP MP Kamal will contest polls if party grassroots want

MAGURA, Nov 19: Former BNP MP Kazi Salimul Haque Kamal said if grassroot level BNP workers want him, he will contest the upcoming election from Magura-2 constituency, whether BNP nominates him or not.

Kamal, who is also the president of BNP's Magura District Committee, made the remarks after his party primarily nominated BNP central committee Vice Chairman and former Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury as the candidate from the constituency. Kamal was speaking at a meeting -- arranged by his supporters -- held at Magura's Arpara Ideal High School.
