Fruit trader found dead in Sylhet

SYLHET, Jan 31 (UNB): A fruit trader was found dead at a house at Madina Market in the city on Thursday.

The deceased was identified as Shahab Uddin, 40, a resident of Moglabazar of Dakkhin Surma upazila.

Selim Mia, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Model Police Station, said police recovered the body of Shahab Uddin from the house being informed by local people around 11:15 am and sent it to local hospital morgue for autopsy.

Police recovered a weight scale stone stained with blood from the spot.

Police suspected that someone might have hit him with the stone on his head for killing him.
