Govt nationalises 28 colleges in Sylhet division

SYLHET, Aug 13: Twenty eight colleges have been nationalised in Sylhet division. The institutions were nationalised through a notification of the Ministry of Education early this week.
The colleges include 10 in Sylhet district including Madan Mohan College, Gowainghat College, Balaganj Degree College, Fenchuganj Degree College, Dhakadakshin Degree College, Kanaighat Degree College, Biswanath College, Dakshin Surma College, Goalabazar Adarsha Mohila College and Imran Ahmed Mohila College.
Barlekha Degree College, Rajnagar Degree College, Komolganj Gono Mohabid-yalaya, Kulaura Degree College and Taiyabunnesa Khanom Academy Degree College are in Moulvibazar district.
A total of five colleges are in Habiganbj district. These are: Ajmiriganj Degree College, Jonab Ali Degree College, Shahjalal College, Nabiganj College and Alif-Sobhan Chowdhury College.
Some eight colleges are in Sunamganj district. These are: Digendra Barman Degree College, Chhatak Degree College, Doarabazar Degree College, Jogonnathpur Degree College, Dharmapasha Degree College, Derai Degree College, Shulla Degree College and Jamalganj Degree College.
