Housewife commits suicide in Magura

MAGURA, Jan 17 (UNB): A housewife allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at Ghashiara village in Sreepur upazila on Tuesday night.

Police said family members found Tania Khatun Shaban, 22, wife of Sumon Mandal and also a garment worker, hanging from the ceiling of her room at night and informed police.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Magura General Hospital morgue for autopsy, said officer-in-charge of Sreepur Police Station Rezaul Islam.

However, it is still not clear what prompted Bristi to take her own life, the OC added.

An unnatural death case was filed.
