Housewife’s body found

NATORE, Dec 03 (bdnews24.com): A young woman has been found dead, tied to a bed, in her family home in Natore's Baraigram Upazila.

The victim's husband has been missing since the incident, police said.

On Monday evening, the 22-year-old housewife's body was recovered from Baraigram's Rayna

Bharat Uttarpara area, according to police.

The deceased, Akhi Khatun, used to live with her husband Md Ismail Hossain, 25, at her father Ashraful Islam's house.Ashraful said, "Akhi got married to Ismail two years back. Since then, Ismail had beaten Akhi on several occasions. So, to save my daughter,I brought the two of them to our house. He would still beat her occasionally."

"This time, Ismail tied my daughter to the bed and left the house after locking her in the room. I kept my daughter at home to save her from abuse. And he ended up killing her in my own home."
