JL leader killed in Jessore

JESSORE, Feb 5 (BSS): A Jubo League leader was chopped to death by miscreants at Churamonkhathi area of upazila here Tuesday.

The deceased Zakir Hossain, 32, was sececratary of ward No 5 unit of Jubo League and son of Amir Hossain.

Members of the Victim's family said Zakir was attacked with sharp weapons by unidentified miscreants numbering about 8 when he was going to the bazaar at around 9 pm.

Officer-in-charge of Jessore Kotwali Model Thana Emdadul Haque Sheikh told BSS that on recipt of an information, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body this morning and it was sent to Jessore Hospital morgue for autopsy.
