Kangaroo dies in Ctg Zoo

CHATTOGRAM, Dec 05: One of the six kangaroos brought from Holland has died in Chattogram Zoo.

Mominur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of Chattogram and President of the Board of Directors of the Zoo, informed the matter on Monday.

He said one of the kangaroos brought to the zoo suffered a leg injury on the way and died later.

Doctor Shahadat Hossain Shubho, Deputy Curator of the Zoo, said that four female and two male kangaroos were brought from Holland.

He said, "The animals were brought through the importing firm Falcon Traders. According to the agreement, the kangaroos were quarantined for 15 days. Until then, the animals are the responsibility of the importing company. The kangaroo died within that time."
