Two persons were killed in separate road accidents in Khagrachhari and Bogura districts on
Saturday and Friday night, reports BSS.
In Khagrachhari, a woman was killed and another injured in a road accident in front of Sewing Training Center under Matiranga upazila of the district on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Dibala Tripura, 45, wife of Dhan Chandra Tripura, a resident of Atbari area in Guimara upazila of the district.
The accident took place around 9.30 am when a bus hit a motorcycle from opposite direction, leaving motorbike rider and its pillion Dibala injured, said Rafiqul Islam, sub inspector of Matiranga Police Station.
The injured were taken to Matiranga
Upazila Health Complex where Dibala succumbed to her injuries.
A case was filed with Matiranga Police Station in this connection.
In Bogura, a youth was killed and two others were injured when a truck hit their motorcycle in Ullapara Khandkarpara
area under Dhunat upazila of the district on Friday night.
The deceased was identified as Azizul Hakim, 17, son of Solaiman Ali, a resident of Mohipur area
under Sherpur upazila of the district.
The accident took
place when a truck hit a motorcycle from the opposite direction at midnight today, leaving its rider and two co-rider injured critically, said Saidul Alam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Dhunat Police Station on Friday noon.
Azizul died on the way to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical
College and Hospital. Injured Abu Bakkar, 17, and Nayan Mia, 18, are undergoing treatment at the hospital, he added.
