Kurigram road crash claims three lives

KURIGRAM, Nov 20 (BSS): Three motorcycle riders were killed as their motorbike hit a roadside tree in Pathari area on Nageshwari-Bhurungamari under Nageshwari upazila of the district on Monday morning.

The deceased were identified as Motaleb, 35, son of Khairul Alam and Sujon, 23, son of Shamsul Haque, residents of Baparihat area and Sohel, 25, son of Ebrahim of Nilurkhamar village of the same upazila.

Officer-in-charge of Nageshwari Police Station Afzalul Islam said the accident occurred when the motorcycle hit a roadside tree in the area at about 9.30 am, leaving the bike rider Motaleb dead on the spot and two others injured.

The injured were taken to the Nageshwari Health Complex where Sohel succumbed to his injures.

Later, Sujon died on way to the Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
