Man crushed under wheels of train in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM, Sept 29 (BSS): A man was crushed under the wheels of a train on the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar railway line near Ward No-4 of Kanchanabad union under Chandanaish upazila of the district on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Nayan, 28, son of Abul Kashem, a resident of Ward No-6 at Khorna union in the neighbouring Patia upazila.

The accident occurred around 6 am when the Cox's Bazar Express train ran over the man, leaving him dead on the spot.

Dohazari Railway Station Master Iqbal Hossain confirmed the incident and said, "A young man died after being run over by a train." Chandanaish Police Station OC Golam Sarwar said a police team was dispatched to the spot and recovered the body.
