Meherpur wall collapse leaves couple dead

MEHERPUR, Mar 17 (UNB): A man and his wife were killed as a clay-made wall collapsed on them at Harirampur village in sadar upazila on Saturday.

The deceased were identified as Md Kabatullah, 50, son of late Moksed Ali of the village and his wife Azironnesa, 45.

The wall collapsed on them in the afternoon while they were breaking the dilapidated wall of their house for renovation, leaving them severely injured, said Sanoar Hossain, a member of Harirampur Union Parishad.

The injured were rushed to Meherpur General Hospital where duty doctor declared both of them dead.
