Mobile phones worth Tk 2.5m seized

SATKHIRA, Sept 15 (BSS): Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive seized 85 mobile phones of various brands worth Tk 2.5 million (Tk 25 lakh) from Kalaroa border area of the district last night.

These mobile phone sets, smuggled from India, were seized from Gerakhali border of the Kalaroa upazila.

A BGB team from Kakdanga BOP conducted the raid in the area based on secret information that a group of smugglers were entering Bangladesh from India through Gerakhali border of Kalaroa upazila with a large consignment of mobile phones.
