Motorcyclist dies in Naogaon road accident

NAOGAON, Nov 18 BSS): A motorcyclist was killed after being hit by a tractor in the Ghorabat Colony area under Dhamoirhat upazila here on Monday morning.

The deceased was Harunur Rashid, 45, a resident of Baro Aria village under Hakimpur upazila of Dinajpur district. He was a meter reader of Dhamirhat Rural Electricity Office in Naogaon district.

When Rashid was going to Dhamoirhat Rural Electricity Office riding on his motorcycle, a tractor coming from the opposite direction hit him in the aforesaid area around 9am, leaving him dead on the spot, officer-in-charge (OC) of Dhamoirhat Police Station Raisul Islam said. Police recovered the body and handed it over to the family members, OC said. A case was filed in this connection, the OC added.
