Naogaon, Thakurgaon road crashes kill three

A total of three persons were killed in separate road accidents in Naogaon and Thakurgaon districts on Tuesday, reports BSS

In Naogaon, two people were killed in a road accident when a truck lost control and fell into the roadside ditch on the Naogaon-Rajshahi Highway in the Ranipukur area under Mohadevpur upazila here on Tuesday morning.

One of the deceased was identified as driver of the truck Suman Mia, 32, son of Shamsul Alam. However, the identity of helper could not be known yet.

When a hay-laden truck was going to Rajshahi from Naogaon, its driver lost control over the steering and the vehicle fell into a roadside ditch around 9:30am, leaving the driver and helper of the truck dead on the spot, said police.

In Thakurgaon, a schoolgirl was killed and four others were injured in a road accident in the Kalitola area here on Tuesday.

Deceased Farhana Sarker, of Kalitola village in sadar Upazila, was a student of Class IX at Thakurgaon Sugar Mills High School.

Farhana died on the spot as a truck collided with an auto rickshaw on Thakurgaon-Pirganj Road this noon, said police.
