Unidentified person's skeleton
recovered in Narail
NARAIL, June 23: Police recovered the skeleton of an unidentified person in Lohagora, Narail. The skeleton was recovered from a sesame field in the Kola area of Dighalia union of the upazila on Monday. Police and local said that a person saw the bones and skull of an unidentified person scattered in a field on Monday afternoon while cutting sesame seeds. Later, locals inform the Lohagora police, a team went to the spot and recovered the skeleton. However, it is not known whether the skeleton is of male or female. — UNB
Man dies after falling from tree
in Kishoreganj
KISHOREGANJ, June 23: A man died after falling from a jackfruit tree on Monday at Charhajipur village of Jinari union under Hossainpur upazila of the district. The deceased was identified as Abdul Jalil, 50, Imam of a local mosque and son of late Abdul Qadir of the village. According to local and eyewitnesses, Abdul Jalil had climbed the tree around 9.30 am to pluck jackfruit leaves for goats. Unfortunately, he slipped and lost his balance and fell, sustaining critical injuries, the sources added. Locals rescued him and rushed to Pakundia Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead. RAB arrests three with Phensidyl

SATKHIRA, June 23: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in a special drive on Monday, arrested three people along with 398 bottles of Phensidyl from the Nalta area under Kaliganj upazila in the district. The arrestees were identified as Jahangir Hossain, 38, Abdul Gaffar, 62 and Amol Sarkar. A team from RAB-6 conducted a special drive at a market located on the first floor of Nalta Bazar and arrested them in possession of the contraband drugs, said Shaminul Haque, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station. — BSS
