Number of dengue patients decreasing

BOGURA, Sept 07: The number of dengue patients in decreasing in the districts of Rajshahi division.

Civil Surgeon Dr Md Azizul Islam of Natore said dengue has infected one person in the last 24 hours. Two others are taking treatment across the district. A total 190 people have already been affected.

Two patients have been infected at Lalpur Upazila Health Complex who caught with dengue fever in Dhaka. The authority concerned is taking proper treatment, sources said.

Officials of Civil Surgeon office in Pabna said some 19 dengue patients are taking treatment across the region while six patients has been infected with dengue fever in the last 24 hours in the district. Meanwhile a total 585 people have already affected with the fever till Saturday across the region.

Some 10 patients have been infected with the fever in the last 24 hours in Bogura district, said civil surgeon Gausul Azam Choudhuri. Besides, a total 48 are taking treatment across the district including the twelve upazila health complexes.

Some 929 people have already affected with the fever from the first week of July to September. The doctors and nurses are serving to get rid of the disease at any cost.

Civil Surgeon Dr Zahid Nazrul Choudhury of Chapainawabganj said two people have been infected with dengue fever in the last 24 hours as the fever is speeding fast across the region.

Some nine are taking treatment across the district for getting rid of the disease. A total 277 people have already affected with the fever from July 1 to September 7 in the district.

Civil Surgeon Dr. Md Zahidul Islam of Siraganj district said dengue fever has infected 12 in the last 24 hours. Some 38 are taking treatment across the district. A total 699 people have already affected with the fever. Some 661 patients have given release as they have been quite healthy.

Civil Surgeon Dr Shams Uddin of Joypurhat said dengue fever has been infected one person in the last 24 hours. One taking treatment across the district. A total 83 people have already affected with the fever.

Civil Surgeon Dr Md Mumunul Haque of Naogaon said dengue fever has been infected two persons in the last 24 hours. Four persons are taking treatment across the district. A total 240 people have already affected with the fever.

Our Rajshahi Correspondent adds: Two members of a family have been affected with dengue at Chakarpara village under Bagha upazila.

They are Rubel Ahmed, son of late Azizul Alam, and his cousin Shetu Khatun.

Shetu has been admitted to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital, while her cousin Rubel at Natore Sadar Hospital on Thursday morning.

It is learnt, residents of Chakpara village became worried following attack in dengue by two people of the same family.

Gasibul, son of Tagar Ali of village Gochar in Arani Municipality was released from Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital after 13 days of treatment.

Masud Rana, son of Muntar Ali and Alfaz Hossain, son of Aklima Bewa of village Chalk Singa in Arani municipality returned home after receiving dengue treatment at the RMCH. They were all learnt to be attacked locally.

Serajul Islam, Bagha upazila health officer, said he heard that some people of the upazila have been attacked with dengue.

RMCH sources said the number of dengue patients has decreased in the district as only five patients attacked with dengue were admitted at RMCH during last 24 hours.

At present 36 dengue patients are under treatment at RMCH.
